Why web design & development matters right now.
Most agency-built websites are visually beautiful and technically broken. LCP is 4 seconds because of an unoptimised hero video. There's no schema. Canonicals are wrong. The URL structure fights SEO instead of enabling it.
We build sites where the SEO doesn't get bolted on afterwards. The IA is designed around clusters. The CWV is engineered from day one. Schema is templated. The result: a site that launches ranking, not one that needs six months of remediation.
Design is decisions. So is search.
A website is thousands of decisions — IA, URLs, templates, animation, images, schema, redirects. Every one of them can help SEO or hurt it. There is no neutral.
We make those decisions on purpose. That's why our sites launch faster, rank sooner, and don't need to be rebuilt in 18 months.
The disciplines that make this work.
IA & URL strategy
Site architecture designed around commercial intent clusters, with URL structure that scales.
- Sitemap
- URL taxonomy
- Cluster + hub architecture
- Redirect matrix (if migrating)
Design system
Semantic tokens, typography scale, motion system — designed for the brand and for accessibility.
- Design tokens
- Component library
- Motion system
- Accessibility spec
Engineering
Next.js, Astro, or WordPress — chosen based on content model, editing workflow, and scale.
- Framework selection memo
- Build system
- Deployment pipeline
- Performance budget
SEO baked in
Schema on every relevant template. CWV budget. Structured metadata. Redirect governance.
- Schema deployment
- CWV budget + monitoring
- Metadata system
- Structured data validation
Migration governance
If replacing a site, migration is the highest-risk moment. We manage it end-to-end.
- Redirect matrix
- Pre / during / post checklist
- 60-day monitoring
Our proprietary approach.
Every site we ship launches with a CWV budget met, schema validated, redirects mapped, and analytics live. No 'we'll fix that after launch' technical debt.
- Step 01Design
Design system + IA locked before engineering.
- Step 02Build
Engineering with a performance budget in every PR.
- Step 03Validate
CWV lab + field, schema validation, redirect QA.
- Step 04Launch
Live with monitoring, dashboards, and a 60-day watch.
Deliverables, by cadence.

- Custom templates + integrations
- Full IA rebuild
- Migration governance
We turn away work that isn't a fit.
- Brands where the site is a growth channel, not a brochure
- Teams replatforming and wanting SEO governance on the migration
- Companies whose current site is holding back organic growth
- Teams looking for a $5,000 WordPress theme install
- Projects without leadership sponsorship for the timeline
Questions we get on every call.
WordPress or Next.js?+
Depends on your editing workflow and content model. Most content-heavy marketing sites still fit WordPress well. Apps, headless, or bespoke experiences fit Next.js or Astro better. We recommend based on fit, not fashion.
Do you handle content?+
Content strategy and writing is a separate discipline (see Content Strategy). We coordinate closely with content during a build so the site launches populated.
How do you handle migrations?+
Redirect matrix mapped page-to-page. Pre-launch QA. 60-day post-launch monitoring. Migration is the single highest-risk moment in SEO — we treat it that way.
Can we edit the site ourselves after launch?+
Yes. Every build includes CMS setup and editor training. Marketing teams should never need engineering to publish.
How long from kickoff to launch?+
Marketing sites: 12–16 weeks. Custom builds: 16–24 weeks. Rush timelines are available with a scope compromise.
